Robert Evans and Curt Appanovich the creators of photography mentor were in San Francisco last week, for the Photo-fusion Tour. Some of you may know of Robert Evans, he shot Tom Cruise + Katie Holmes and Brad Pitt’s first wedding to Jennifer Aniston a couple of years back. Amazing! They were kind enough to ask me to do a wedding model photoshoot. Photography Mentor is a educational website for the up and coming or seasoned wedding photographer. Photography Mentor is one of the best social medias out there for wedding photographers in San San Francisco and abroad.

Jaime Dollaga is THE amazing San Francisco based model who was happy to be my bride for the day. Armando Sarabia got her do up and glammed up her make up. All of her amazing handmade jewelery was from Lindsie Jones of Haute Bride and Jose gave me the dress. Thanks everyone for the hook up.

{ facebook or twitter }

ocial networking. It’s what’s happening right now in present time. I am addicted to facebook and twitter. What’s Facebook? What’s Twitter? You ask. Well, some of you reading this post may already know. But, for those who don’t. Both are websites or online text blogs. Where you can make new friends connect with old ones or just virtually socialize. I have actually connected with some childhood friends, set up some get togethers and had lots fun with it. I can run updates right from my iphone. So, for example if Ann Hamilton and I are out having dinner/drinks somewhere. I can post about it, my online friends can see it and possibly join us if they are in the neighborhoods. Trust me this has happened before. You can get instant text updates from anyone, add photos and even reply or direct message. It’s really a fun idea and I hope you will join me. Both websites are free and it just take a little effort on your part. I think I must Twitter or Facebook at least 5 times a day. Told ya I was addicted.

{ all things are possible }

November 5, 2008

In America and in life we can do anything we set our minds to. I have tears in my eyes as I write this post. It was not long ago where my grandparents were interned because there were Japanese, right here in America. I miss them very much and I wish I could have shared this victory with them. Change has come!!! America IS a place where all things are possible.

It inspires me to see a man of color elected the 44th president of the United States. It makes me dream and gives me hope of the impossible, and take more challenges to become the best that I can be. I have and always will approach life with open arms.

I thought I would share this envelope with you. It held my grandparent’s marriage license. Take a look at where it’s from, sad. I hope that this will never happen again in in America. President Obama is the voice of America and I believe he will take us to the promise land.

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope you all had some time off to party and dress up. I didn’t get a chance to dress up this year. But, guess who did? The very popular pug in the wedding industry wanted to be a Bumble bee this year. It’s Ann’s nickname for him around the studio. Check out these funny pictures we took outside of Ann’s new loft.

{ happy fathers day }

June 18, 2008

In the hustle and bustle of being out of town over the weekend, I didn’t have an internet connection to post about Father’s Day. My folks still live in LA so I try and get down there whenever I can. So it’s always a good thing when I book those LA weddings. LOL

To my Dad, Happy Father’s Day!!! You have been there for me as I followed my dream of being a photographer, supporting me 100% all the way. Thanks for being a great dad and loving me and mom. I remember days of basketball (which I was never good at), being my coach, teaching me to drive on Pismo beach, playing baseball in the backyard, getting ice cream on the way back from school, your advice, and our many family trips. Thanks so much for all the things you have taught me, shown me and most of all, have done with me. Those were great times and I look forward to many more. I can go on and on about the many great things we have done together. Your the best dad in world and I am proud to be your son.

Here’s a shot of my folks in Hawaii this past spring, taken at my cousin’s wedding.
